An afternoon with Actor Drew Hann

Drew and I have been in each other's lives for about 4 years now- He was the first person that made me feel at home in LA. Today, despite the misty rain, we shot around my neighborhood and in my studio ( aka my living room with all the furniture pushed against the wall).

Drew is an actor and truly one of the quickest witted people I know. You may have seen him on the telly recently in an ad for Dollar Shave Club.

He is currently working on a web-series that needs to be picked up by IFC immediately.

You can watch that here

(seriously watch it- it's absurdly good)

a long overdue update- NEW PROJECT UNDERWAY

hello internet! ( and by internet I mean, hi mom - thanks for checking my blog!)

in the coming weeks I will be shooting an ongoing project (tentatively titled) The Moving Portrait Series. In which I attempt to connect the scribbly lines in my brain and produce 30 second video portraits of artists.

Below are stills from a test I did recently...

More details to come, but first I have to do my dishes.

Keep Making,

#TBT

Hello Internet- Since the site has just launched I know I am the only one reading it...BUT, I wanted to start building up some blog content. So, in the spirit of social media trends I will be throwin' it back every Thursday with work that I love.

(This set was taken...a year ago...I think? In and around the Hollywood/Los Feliz/Atwater area.)

I shot one roll on my trusty AE-1, seldom do I get a collection from one roll but every once in a blue moon I get very lucky. I think some of the success of the set comes from the fact that I wasn't looking to capture anything in particular- My boyfriend and I were driving around and I was shooting out of the car window and as we walked down the sidewalk- the normal pressures I feel to compose an image did not exist.

Also, fun fact, the first photo "Flowers" was published on PhotoVogue/Vogue Italia
